I can feel a good ol' fashioned rant coming on. It's been brewing for a few weeks now, but it's gonna take some stamina to type the mothafucka out. In the meantime, enjoy this message: Persistance. If you want to succeed, and you've got the goods, persist. That's all it takes. Words of wisdom from N8 Dog. Uh, ranting to follow on a later post, followed by probable alienation. Oh, well.

Ah, shit! I just got back from seeing Gwar at the Blue Note...actually, I just got out of the shower trying to get the gallons of fake blue alien blood and good ol' red human blood off of me. My clothes are in the wash. I was soaked! It was a blast!! I was going to walk home all blue and red but some friends picked me up outside. Rocking out to Gwar, getting soaked with blood shot staight from the freshly severed necks of John Kerry, Bush, and various others contributes to a damn fine Tuesday night. To quote Oderus, "We don't ask that you agree with our political views...just that you pay to hear them!" (Shortly before beheading Bush.) That's good stuff!!

Owwwww!!!!
Hey folks, it's been a great night. My band played @ Eastside tonight and it was a fuckin' blast. I cannot express in words how great it is for me to play...it's my passion, and I believe that everyone has to be passionate about something to fully enjoy life. Afterwards, I went to a party my friends were at and got pretty damn drunk. (Philosophical, huh?) But...not as drunk as 99% of the people there, 'cause I've been trying to take it easy the last few weeks. I've just been feelin' a little bit bad because of the usual havoc I wreak on my body on the weekends, so I cooled it, drank moderately, made fun of my extremely drunk friends, and had a blast. OO OO OOOOooo! I almost forgot: I bought this cd, Shyster, on a complete whim for 99 cents, and have been rockin' it for three days straight!! It's fookin' great!!
Well, Off to bed!

Hey folks,
It's been a full day! I decided to take most of the day off work at about 7:45 this morning, when my mom called and said that she'd be in Rutledge, MO., shopping at a flea market. (the sign says, "Rutledge gun and dog exchange". Awesome!) Pretty convenient, considering that, as usual, I haven't mailed out my Mom's day card yet and it would never get to Iowa in time. So, I went to work at 8:00, left at 10:00, drove up to Rutledge, hung out w/my Mom, and had fun. I like flea markets, and more importantly, road trips on beautiful hot sunny days. I took a roundabout way back, and got back to CoMo just in time for band practice. We got shut down a little bit early, 'cause the animal shelter next door was having a picnic, and it turns out that people that attend such things don't appreciate loud obnixous metal music drowning out their guest speaker. Whatever, we were about done anyway, and the cops were cool. After that, I called my friends' house and got Ben, who was just heading out to the "Big Free" concert featuring Mission of Burma and the Jurrassic 5. We cruised to a nearby mexican resturant neither of us had ate at, pigged out, and walked from there to the show. We met the rest of our crew and after J5 were about done, headed back to the bar at the mexican resturant for a beer, after that the liquor store and to Hubbell St., party central. After some beers and a brief trip to East Side Tavern to see local favorites Trebuchet, we proceeded to drink mass quantities. Fun for everyone. Especially on "No Shirt Fridays" - a new theme at Hubbell St., evidently.
Culito out. Hope every one is being safe this No Shirt Friday.

Oh, yeah. I'm doin' pretty good tonight. Me and Double J had some Jeager blasters @ Eastside tonight and they were friggin' awesome. Tonight marked the end of the April "band appreciation month" there and I took full advantage of my half price discount. I got pleasingly drunk, and, well, I learned through interesting means that this whole broadcasting of my thoughts and feelings for the world to see was generally a bad idea. I, of course, knew this from the start, but what the hell? Nothing ventured, nothing gained, peoples.
Culito out.
