Howdy folks,
It's now basically a waiting game with the Hondas...I'm waiting for me to get more money. It turns out, after having honed the bad cylinder, (Along with having spent $75 on a goddamed hone,) I'll have to go ahead and have the cylinders bored out thirty thousanths. The pitting is just too bad, so someday I'll find out if I can get oversize pistons and just how much they'll cost. I'm guessing alot.
In the meantime, I've got plenty o' other projects to work on, i.e. my kitchen sink drain that disintigrated tonight. I went and got a drain and trap kit, but after tearing into it, I found out that the previous owners used two different sizes of pipe. Crap.
I've also got my PVC drum kit project going. That involves making a whole drum/pad kit out of PVC tubing and triggering the pads with my newly acquired Alesis DM-5 drum module. I'm almost done with that, the only hurdle being finding something to cover the plywood pads with. I want a rubber surface, but who sells rubber by the sheet?
I also have a few house projects going, like building a walkway between my front sidewalk and driveway out of pool table slate, putting in a new floor joist (see w/d hookup post below) , jacking up the floor in a few places, finishing the electical in the attic, painting and re-installing the front railing, adding step off the back deck, smoke detectors.....
So yeah, I've plenty to do.
