To my Suzi:
My Suzi makes me happy. She's a '95. Pickup. Red with grey interior. She takes me where I need to go, with predictability and style. For instance, she took me to a party tonight with Cast the Stone and Omichron. She even carried some of their equipment for them. Maybe even Steve in the passenger side. And an 18 pack of Miller Lite. She treats me right, that Suzi.
She's even more of a pleasure to drive when I'm drunk. Every once in a while, she wants me to find out just how fast she can go. About 95 without protest, I think, but I don't push her. Tonight it was on curvy two lane blacktop back into Columbia. I didn't reach her desired max speed, but it was fun anyway. She's good with communication - every curve is met with eager responsiveness from her steering, and I can feel her reaction in the steering wheel as the road rushes past only inches below her frame. (She's lowered 3" in the front, four in the back.)
I've met many girls in my day, but none have treated me like my Suzi treats me - with respect and maybe even a hint of longing...to be on the open road, with me at her controls.
I love my Suzi.
